Pathways Project in Senior Cycle

NCCA is delighted to be working directly with 14 schools to develop proposals that will improve the options for all students to progress through senior cycle. Working directly with schools will mean the proposals should be responsive to the needs of all students and based on the reality of school life.

This project, supported by the OECD in collaboration with the European Commission, is an exciting opportunity for schools to directly influence the future of senior cycle. The 14 schools involved in the project were selected to offer a representative sample of schools across the length and breadth of the country. Each school has nominated a Link Person, who will work with a Pathways Team in their school, comprising teachers, students, parents and school leaders. Each school will share ideas and collaborate with other schools in the project over the course of the year ahead, with a view to developing proposals for public consultation in 2026.
