Senior Cycle Programmes

The Leaving Certificate programme is provided through four routes. Students have an opportunity to do a transition year between Junior Cycle and Senior Cycle.

Senior Cycle education caters for students in the 15 to 19 year age group. It includes an optional Transition Year, which follows immediately after Junior Cycle.  During the final two years of Senior Cycle students take one of four programmes: the Leaving Certificate Established (LCE), the Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme (LCVP),  the Leaving Certificate Applied (LCA) or follow a Senior Cycle Level1/Level 2 Learning Programme (SCL1LP/SCL2LP).
